NOTES:  On 23 March 1692 at the French Church in Kinderkamack, Bergen County,
	NJ, Jean married as his second wife and as her second husband MARRITJE
	VAN WINCKLE, the widow of Pieter Jansen Slot, who was born about 1643,
	a daughter of Jacob Wallings Van Winckle and Trientje Jacobs.

	On 20 December 1702 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack Jean
	married as his third wife and as her second husband MAGDALENA LAURENS,
	the widow of Jean Tullier

	Jean joined the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack by letter from the
	French Church at Kinderkamack 10 July 1696.  In 1670 Jean was elected
	a Constable in Harlem, in 1683, was commissioned a Lieutenant of Militia
	for Bergen County.  His first home in New Jersey was on the original
	patent, exact location unknown.  Later he inherited the house built by
	his father David on the west side of Hackensack River and the Little
	Mill.  This house he in turn left to his grandson David, son of his son
	David, when he died.  His will was dated 29 March 1714, probated 10
	November 1719, and was filed at Trenton.  Executors were his son Peter
	and Abraham Brouwer.

	    Jan and his first wife lived in Tarrytown, NY from 1702 to 1707.  He
	    made his will dated 6 Mar. 1729 which has not been located but is
	    referred to in a deed dated 22 Apr. 1731, transferring land to his
	    sons John and David.  And in a deed dated 19 Feb. 1737, the will was
	    referred to, transferring land to the sons John, Solomon, and Elly,
	    equally, as well as certain meadow lands to all six children.  By
	    this deed, David, Solomom, Elly, and their sister Jemima Martin
	    conveyed lands to Charles Robinson.

		and Jannetie, his wife.  On 31 July 1746 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Schraalenburg she mar. ABRAM J. ACKERMAN, who was
		bap. 5 May 1723 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack
		(wit.:  Abram Ackerman and Aeltie, his wife), a son of
		Johannes Abramse Ackerman and Maritie Wakefield.

	   11.  LIDIA DEMAREST, was bap. 8 Nov. 1730 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Hackensack.  Wit.:  David Brouwer and Lidia
		DeMarest.  On 29 Apr. 1753 at the Reformed Dutch Church of
		Schraalenburg she mar. ABRAHAM J. ACKERMAN, who was bap. 1
		Jan. 1731 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack (wit.:
		Abraham Brouwer and Hillegont Akkerman), a son of Johannes
		Ackerman and Jannetje Losier.  Abraham died in Aug. 1770 in
		Hackensack, Bergen Co., NJ.

	   12.  JAN DEMAREST, was b. 26 Dec. 1732 and bap. 1 Jan. 1733 at the
		Reformed Dutch Church of Schraalenburg.  Wit.:  Jan Cristy and
		Lea Christy.  Abt. 1754 he mar. WILLEMPTIE BOGERT, who was
		bap. 30 June 1734 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack
		(wit.:  Isack Bongaert and Angenietjen Bongaert), a son of Jan
		Bogert and Antjen Westervelt.

	   13.  JACOBUS DEMAREST, was bap. 4 May 1735 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Schraalenburg.  Wit.:  Simon Demarest and Vrouwtje,
		wife.  On 26 Feb. 1753 at the Reformed Dutch Church of
		Schraalenburg he mar. MARIA SMITH, who was a dau. of Philip
		Smith and Rebecca Earle.

	   14.  DAVID DEMAREST, was bap. 21 May 1738 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Schraalenburg.  Wit.:  David Davidse Demarest and
		Catarina, wife.  Abt. 1760 he mar. HESTER BROUWER, who was
		bap 20 Jan. 1740 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack,
		a dau. of Abraham Uldrickse Brouwer and Elizabeth Ackerman.
		David was buried 28 Nov. 1820 in Hackensack, Bergen Co., NJ.

	   15.  MARIA DEMAREST, was bap. 24 Aug. 1740 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Schraalenburg.  Wit.:  Joannes Akkerman and
		Jaconymtje, wife.  On 29 Nov. 1755 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Schraalenburg she mar. RICHARD HEATON.

	   16.  ANNAETJE DEMAREST, was bap. 9 Jan. 1743 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Schraalenburg.  Wit.:  Joannes Loots and Rachel,
		wife.  On 27 May 1759 at the Reformed Dutch Church of
		Schraalenburg she mar. JAN C. BANTA, who was bap. 18 Dec. 1737
		at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack (wit.:  Jan Berdan
		Jr., and Christientje Van Giesen), a son of Cornelius Banta and
		Rachel Banta.

	   17.  SAMUEL DEMAREST, was bap. 25 Aug. 1745 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Schraalenburg.  Wit.:  Samuel Demarest and wife.  On
		28 July 1767 he mar. WILLEMPJEN BANTA, who was bap. 20 Oct.
		1745 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack (wit.:  Zybe
		Banta and wife, Lea Lisier), a dau. of Hendrick Banta and
		Annatje De Groot.

	   18.  MAGDALENA DEMAREST, was bap. 8 May 1748 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Schraalenburg.  Wit.:  Joannes Brouwer and Magdalena
		Cristy.  She mar. PETER STUYVESANT, who was prob. b. 7 Oct. 1739
		and bap. 15 Oct. 1739 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Bergen

		Sara, his wife), a son of Daniel Demarest and Rebecca DeGroot.
		On 7 Mar. 1734 she mar. as her second husband CORNELIUS STAGG,
		who was b. abt. 1701, a son of Jan Stagg and Neeltje Verwey.

		her first husband PHILIP MARIEN.  She mar. as her second husband
		JACOBUS POST, who had no birth or baptismal record, a son of
		Frans Post and Maritje Jacobus.

	    7.  ELISABETH CHRISTIE, was bap. 31 Oct. 1714.  Wit.:  Daniel De
		Maree and Rebecca, his wife.  On 6 Mat. 1742 she mar. PETER
		RYDOUT.

	    8.  JAMES CHRISTIE, was bap. 13 Oct. 1716.  Wit.:  Jan De Maree and
		Magdalena his wife.

	    9.  DAVID CHRISTIE, was bap. 9 Nov. 1718.  Wit.:  Petrus Slodt and
		Eva Slodt.  On 23 Apr. 1741 he mar. WYBURGH VAN ORDEN, who was
		bap. 20 Jan. 1723 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack
		(wit.:  Samuel Laroe and Maritie, his wife), a dau. of Andries
		Jans Van Orden and Antje Laroe.  David was buried in Rushville,
		NY.

	   10.  WILLEM CHRISTIE, was bap. 28 Aug. 1720.  Wit.:  Willem Van
		Imburgh and Maritie Meet, wife of Pieter De Maree.  On 20 Sept.
		1743 he mar. CATALYNTIE DEMAREST, who was bap. 18 Mar. 1722 at
		the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack (wit.:  Cornelis
		Heeringh and Cattalyn, his wife), a dau. of Peter Demarest and
		Margrietje Cornelise Haring.  Willem died 28 Sept. 1809.

           11.  RACHEL CHRISTIE, was bap. 2 Dec. 1722.  Wit.:  Dirk Sibase
		Bantha and Rachel, his wife.  On 14 July 1745 at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Schraalenburgh (with banns published there 22
		June 1745) she mar. as his second wife DAVID EDWARD, the widower
		of Lea Brouwer, who was b. 7 Aug. 1716 "in the Highland" and
		bap. 9 May 1717 at "our meeting at Quaseck" and recorded at
		Lutheran Church of New York City (wit.:  Isaac Lassen and
		Elisabeth Myndersen), a son of Thomas Edwards and Alitha (__).

	   12.  DANIEL CHRISTIE, was bap. 8 Feb. 1725 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of Schraalenburgh.  Wit.:  Petrus Brouwer and wife.  On
		26 July 1745 he mar. FYTIE DEMAREST, who was bap. 6 Nov. 1726
		at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack (wit.:  Jan
		Westervelt and Fietje Hering), a dau. of Peter Demarest and
		Margrietje Cornelise Haring.

	   13.  SARA CHRISTIE, was b. 29 Aug. 1728 and bap. 8 Sept. 1728 at
		the Reformed Dutch Church of Tappen.  Wit.:  Joost Sabrisky
		and Christana Matby, his wife.  She mar. DAVID ACKERMAN.

	   14.  MAGDALENA CHRISTIE, was b. 21 Oct. 1730 and bap. 6 Dec. 1730
