NOTES:  As Hendrick Hendricks Van Reegnan he was one of the witnesses to the
	will of Sigismund of New York, dated 17 September 1673.  This is the
	earliest record of Hendrick in New York.  By 13 June 1684 he owned land
	in Second River, New Jersey.  At a Newark Town meeting, 5 Mar. 1693/94,
	he, along with others, were "admitted Planters."  On 25 Mar. 1696 he
	paid quit rent for forty four acres in Essex County, New Jersey.

	On 12 April 1702 Sytje married as her second husband POULUS DOUWESEN,
	the widower of Aaltje Jacobs.  They "received certificate to New York,"
	3 May 1720.

    Notes:  According to his marriage record, Johannes was living at

		1706.  On 24 May 1731 at the Reformed Dutch Church of
		Acquackenonk he mar. FEMMETJE MESSEKER.  He lived for a time in
		Second River, where he was a trustee of the church, 2 Apr. 1739.
		After removing to Pompton Plains, NJ, he returned to
		Acquackanonk, NJ, where he was listed as a Freeholder, 1 Sept.
		1755.

	    2.  CYTIE BRUYN, had no birth or baptismal record and was b. abt.
		1708.  She mar. THOMAS STAGG, who was a son of Thomas Stagg.

	    3.  SARA BRUYN, had no birth or baptismal record and was b. abt.
		1710/12.  On 3 July 1734 at the Reformed Dutch Church of
		Acquackanonk she mar. JOHANNES JACOBUSSE, who had no birth or
		baptismal record and was b. abt. 1702, a son of Roelof Jacobusse
		and Geertruyt Buys.  They settled in Pompton Plains, NJ.

    Notes:  Banns for the marriage was published 27 Mar. 1714 at the Reformed

	    They were admirred in 1735 to the Reformed Dutch Church of Second
	    River from the Reformed Dutch Church of Acquackanonk.  Barent signed
	    by mark as a deacon of the Second River Church in 1735 and 1739.  He
	    was replaced as elder, 20 May 1744, and elected elder, 20 May 1750.

		1717.  Prior to 1740 she mar. FRANS VAN DER KOECK, who had no
		birth or baptismal record, a son of Michael van der Koeck and
		Saartje Joosten.  Frans was living on the Horseneck tract in
		1744.  Frans died prior to 25 May 1773 when Lena was listed as
		a widow.

	    2.  HENDRICK BRUYN, was b. 2 Dec. 1730 in Spring Garden, NJ, and
		bap. 13 Dec. 1730 at the Reformed Dutch Church of Acquackanonk.
		Wit.:  Johannes Bruin and Hillegond Van Gijson.  On 14 Feb. 1756
		at the Reformed Dutch Church of Second River he mar. RACHEL
		BURGER, who was b. 24 Sept. 1734 and bap. 10 Nov. 1734 at the
		Reformed Dutch Church of Second River (wit.:  Hannes Koejemans
		and Rachel Van Winckel), a dau. of Manus Burger and Annetje
		Coeymans.  He served in the Revolutionary War and died aft. 28
		Mar. 1779.

	    3.  JACOB BRUYN, was b. 11 Feb. 1736 and bap. 7 Mar. 1736 at the
		Reformed Dutch Church of Second River.  Wit.:  Jan Outwater and
		Aeltje Bruyn.  He mar. SARA GERBRANTS, who was prob. b. 20 Aug.
		1748 and bap. 28 Aug. 1748 at the Reformed Dutch Church of
		Second River (wit.:  Cornelis Gerbrandse and Jannetje Pier), a
		dau. of Gerbrand Gerbrandse and Catharina Pier.
