    Notes:  The marriage record referred to Catharine as "j.d. Uyt den Hage."

	    All children with known baptismal dates were baptised at the
	    Reformed Dutch Church of New Amsterdam and New York.

 Children:  1.  GERRIT VAN LAER, was bap. 5 Oct. 1660 (no baptismal record was
		found in the records for the Reformed Dutch Church of New
		Amsterdam).  He died young.

            2.  JANNETJE VAN LAER, was bap. 21 Oct. 1662.  Wit.:  Adriaen Van
		Laer and Jaepje Jans Van Rosendael.  On 16 June 1686 (with banns
		published 27 May 1686) at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York
		she mar. SIMON BREESTEDE, who was bap. 27 Mar. 1661 at the
		Reformed Dutch Church of New Amsterdam (wit.:  Cornelis
		Steenwyck and Ann Loockermans), a son of Jan Janszen Breestede
		and Marritje Andries.  On 3 Sept. 1681 Jannetie joined the
		Reformed Dutch Church of New York.

	    3.  SARA VAN LAER, was bap. 17 Jan. 1666 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of New York.  Wit.:  Anna Minnens.  No father's name was
		listed in the record.  On 16 June 1686 at the Reformed Dutch
		Church of New York she mar. JOHANNES HARDENBROEK, who was b. in
		Amsterdam, The Netherlands, prob. a son of Andries Hardenbroek
		though it is not known for certain.  He joined the Reformed
		Dutch Church of New York 27 Feb. 1684.  He died bet. 25 Jan.
		1710 and 27 Aug. 1714 on which date his will was probated.  His
		will, dated 12 Sept. 1702, mentioned his wife Sarah, his eldest
		son Andries, and his children Christofell, Adolphus, Johanes,
		Gerardus, Catharine, and Maritie.  Sara was prob. buried 17 Nov.
		1743.

	    4.  JOHANNES VAN LAER, was bap. 27 Nov. 1667.  Wit.:  Anthony de
		Mill and Elisabeth Van der Liphorst.  He prob. mar. as her
		second husband MARIA WILLEMSE BENNET, the widow of Jacobus
		Verhulst, who was bap. 10 Apr. 1661 at the Reformed Dutch Church
		of New Amsterdam (wit.:  Paulus Van der Beeck, Arie Willemszen,
		and Marritie Willems), a dau. of Willem Willemse Bennet and
		Gertruyd Van Mulhen.  They were last mentioned of in the records
		21 May 1704 and 8 Jan. 1701 respectively.  They probably had no
		children.

	    5.  BAYKEN (BARBARA) VAN LAER, was bap. 21 Jan. 1672.  Wit.:
		Jacques Couseau, Abraham Van laer, and Annetie Hardenbroeck.
		She died young.

	    6.  JACOBUS VAN LAER, was bap. 15 May 1675.  Wit.:  Adriaen Vanlaer
		and Jannetje Stephens.  He died young.

	    7.  ABRAHAM VAN LAER, was bap. 2 Mar. 1678.  Wit.:  Jan Harberding,
		Willem Wydt, and Hester Webbers.  On 2 May 1697 (with banns
		published 16 Apr. 1697) at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York
		he mar. HESTER DAVIDS, "j.d. Van Amsterd."

	    8.  GERRIT VAN LAER, was bap. 29 May 1680.  Wit.:  Cornelis Pluvier
		and Mayken Herperts.  In Nov. 1702 at the Reformed Dutch Church
		of New York he mar. with license dated that same month as his
		first wife JANNETJE STRIDDLES, who was bap. 19 Aug. 1683 at the
		Reformed Dutch Church at Albany (wit.:  father, Richart Pritty,
		and carried by Jannetje Martensz), a dau. of Gabriel Thomaszen
		Striddles and Jannetje Dircx.  She died about 1718-19 and on 25
		May 1718 Gerrit petitioned for administration of his father-in-
		law's estate.  On 3 Jan. 1719 at the Reformed Dutch Church at
		New York he mar. as his second wife JOHANNA TEN EYCK, who was
		bap. 23 May 1686 at the Reformed Dutch Church of New York (wit.:
		Tobias ten Eyck and Johanna), a dau. of Hendrick Ten Eyck and
		Petronella DeWitt.  Johanna died in 1752.  Gerrit worked as a
		baker in New York City.  Gerrit had a total of 12 children (11
		by his first wife; 1 by his second wife).

	    9.  ISAAC VAN LAER, was bap. 22 May 1681.  Wit.:  Jan de Lamontagne
		and Annetie Waldron.

	   10.  CORNELIS VAN LAER, was bap. 4 Nov. 1682.  Wit.:  Jacobus Ver
		Hulst and Grietie Hendricx.
