NOTES:  Banns for their marriage were published 14 October 1677 at the Reformed
	Dutch Church of Bergen.  Cornelis was recorded as "y.m. from Amersfoort
	on Long Island;" Magdalena as "y.d. from New York."  The received
	certificate dated 13 November 1677 to marry in New York.

	Cornelis was one of the Patentees of Acquackanonk on 16 March 1684.

	With banns published 20 April 1701 at the Reformed Dutch Church of
	Hackensack Magdalena married as her second husband SANDER EGBERSE, the
	widower of Elsie Staats.

		husband JURRIE JANSE VAN RYPE, who was b. 22 Jan. 1702/03 in
		Passaic, NJ and bap. 19 Feb. 1703 at the Reformed Dutch Church
		of Acquackanonk (wit.:  Gerrebrant Classe and Ryke Harmse), a
		son of Jan Jurianse and Neeltie Gerrebrantse.  Both were
		recorded as having been b. and then living in Acquackanonk at
		the time of their marriage.  Jurrie died in 1746.  She mar. as
		her second husband HARTMANN VREELANDT.

            2.  CORNELIS VAN HOUTEN, was b. 11 Apr. 1717 and bap. at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Acquackanonk.  Wit.:  Reinier Corn. Van Houten
		and Lea Spyr.  On 13 Dec. 1739 at the Reformed Dutch Church of
		Schraalenburgh he mar. SARA DEMAREST, who was bap. 19 June 1720
		at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hackensack (wit.:  Pieter Du Ry
		and Judick, his wife), a dau. of Peter Demarest and Maretie Meet.

	    3.  JOHANNES VAN HOUTEN, was b. 30 Nov. 1719 and bap. at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Acquackanonk.  Wit.:  Johannes Spyr and Maria
		Fransen.  On 11 July 1739 at the Reformed Dutch Church of
		Pompton Plains he mar. as his first wife MARTYNTYE BARTHOLF.  He
		was recorded as having been b. in Totua and living there, and
		she as having been b. in Acquackanonk and living there at the
		time of her marriage.  On 8 Nov. 1745 at Acquackanonk he mar. as
		his second wife LYSBETJE VAN RYPE.

	    4.  JACOB VAN HOUTEN, was b. 26 Oct. 1721 and bap. at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Acquackanonk.  Wit.:  Jacob Spyr and Gerritje
		Spyr.

	    5.  MARIA VAN HOUTEN, was b. 30 Dec. 1724 and bap. at the Reformed
		Dutch Church of Acquackanonk.  Wit.:  Arent Lourense Tours and
